shanghai trip and my stupid fringe

i am back from shanghai...the trip was great..but i shall turn anorexic now because i put on 1 kg already la...everyday eat,shop eat again,bathe with soap then sleep..haha sure bathe with soap right then bathe with what..haha for skinny people u guys can soak in lard...anyways my family was trying to find the xiao long bao restaurant that paris hilton ate in...but to no avail..so anyhow just whack one restaurant..shopping was not bad but my mum had to haggle like no tomorrow..there was this juicy bag that i liked alot..they sold it at 750 RMB..siao la..but the shop keeper said i was pretty..haha..so we bargain bargain until everyones temper flare then i got the bag at 100RMB which is singapore 20 dollars and my mum still not happy...then i did my nails too..they are pink with white ribbons and white french tip and with jewels too..plus my nails were kinda short so the manicurist put on fake nails for me...all for only 33 singapore dollars..haha the next time i return to shanghai my nails will be of a different colour and design everyday..actually i like this design which had tiaras and jewels all over and ur nails will be painted gold and pink but my mum said it was too ah lian...but i didnt think so..but now with my stupid fringe i think if i selected that design,i can be the head of all ah lians...talking about my fringe..i am so irritated and i have to wear a hairband everyday because it sucks...i wanted it a little shorter so that it will be nice when i comb it to the side but NO now i look like a little boy...luckily my hair is long..if not russ will have a brother instead of a sister..i shall not cut my hair forever..if i ever do,please slap my face..ok lets go one to food again..my family had tea at starbucks for 2 days consecutively.its cheaper compared to singapore and i ate scones everyday..the only form of exercise was walking from one shop to another..we had seafood for dinner..we had to select what type of seafood and the amount we wanted then the seafood people will bring us to a restaurant nearby and they will cook it for us...oh and we ate their famous hairy crab..the crab meat was really sweet and juicy but the best was the crab's egg..ok i feel bad for the unborn crabbies..its not my fault...i was hungry..but i will turn vegetarian next year...never mind i shall just bombard my blog with photos...

almost reaching puberty russ and i..at this place called yi yuan..its really scenic and beautiful but its full of rocks,ponds,fishes,scrubs and more rocks...IT ROCKS..

aha the xiao long baos...look at the steam..i shall give it a christian name called the blister bao...when u bite off some of the skin of the xiao long bao..the soup will ooze out..just like a blister when u cut off part of ur skin..all the water comes out..haha sorry a bit gross...

u see u see..those china people eat everything...DOGS..OMG...how can u eat them...thats why u dont see dogs wondering on the street..even if u are lucky and see one the next minute..its gone..i bet the kids eat their hamsters for tea..

this was the only dog i saw in the whole of shanghai....

we visited this village called tong li.. very quaint little place out of shanghai..people do stay there but there are a few places which u can visit where they have displays of different craftwork like wood carving stone carving...this picture is taken in one of the dead general's tua ling gong house..its more like a palace...what do people do in the past?catching butterflies and feeding fishes can be kind of overrated after while...

i am proud to be a member of the school's photography club!!!!

this man is super intelligent...he used our chinese name and came up with a poem for us...ying liao..if he was my grandfather,i will be receving a award for top chinese pupil annually..whats more he wrote the poem in like 7 minutes....

amandals favourite picture...a bed used in the olden times..after i took this picture some caretaker person popped up from behind..i almost died of shock..

this rickshaw gong gong is so cutee....i wanted to give him a hug but i must control my raging hormones..eh it was so bloody cold and he had to cycle with 2 balls of lard sitting in his rickshaw..it was really pitiful because he practically followed us everywhere we went to beg us to ride on his rickshaw because they hardly have customers during winter...my dad gave him quite a lot of tips..i should have asked for his autograph..in my opinion,gong gongs should stay at home sitting in a rocking chair by the fire,fully and warmly clothed sipping gingseng tea ..i dont mind if they wear v neck cardigans too..but they should not be cycling here and there...

these birds here are called the ospreys..they are trained to help the fisherman catch fish..they have metal rings around their necks to prevent them from swallowing the fish they catch...when the po po hit the sides of the boat using the wooden rod,the ospreys will dive into the lake and when their throats look a bit swollen,it shows that they have caught a fish and the popo will open their beaks and kinda force the fish out of their throats..its kinda cruel to the ospreys but the people there need the birds to help them perform for a living..its singapore 2 dollars to watch these birds perform..

we went to the public park...its like walking down london or something...the surroundings are really picturesque.. HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL..YAY

dont u just love shanghai..........

see..wont u be spoilt for choice...so many patterns to choose from and on top of that they still have 3 thick books full of designs....so cute right...its hand painted...
the lady in green is the boss of the shop..they are all very hospitable and friendly
